Every product is stamped with its production date in ddmmyyyy format. The brand name is simply the date your bag is born, marking the beginning of your leather journey. Every mark, spill and drop capture the essence of your unforgettable moments, making your bag truly yours. Just as no two stories are ever alike.

LEATHER SOURCINGITALIAN LEATHER ONLY

We only use vegetable tanned leather from Italy. Vegetable tanned leather represents the highest quality, and durability in leather goods. It takes about 40 days to process from raw hides, with natural tannins extracted from plants. The final leather is natural. As such, it is too normal to experience changes with time.

LEATHER CRAFTFURTHER PROCESSING

Upon arrival at our studio, the leather undergoes additional crafting.

Each bag is crafted using a unique and special process all created by hand that brings you style, quality, and personality unlike anything that you have seen.

The Journey of Our Brand:
From a Tiny Bedroom to Our Own Studio

ddmmyyyy was founded a decade ago in a tiny bedroom in Hong Kong. With a mere 2 square meters of space, Yvonne embarked on the journey in the world of leathercraft. Despite the limitations, this tiny working space became the breeding ground for our design philosophy, focusing on simplicity, artistry, and impeccable craftsmanship. We made a significant move to the enchanting city of Edinburgh in 2022. This move marked a new chapter for our brand, as we finally had the opportunity to establish our own studio. With this upgrade in space and equipment, we were able to unleash our creativity and push the boundaries of our craft. Despite the geographical shift, our commitment to simplicity and artistry remains at the core of our brand. Our designs continue to embody the essence of minimalism, while showcasing the meticulous attention to detail that defines our craftsmanship.

Her approach to leatherwork is marked by creativity and experimentation, with a keen focus on colour, form and texture. She is constantly on the lookout for innovative ways to craft unique products that leave a lasting impression.
